Discover How to Build Listing Pages and Featured Content Sections
Creating Content Lists
Manual Selection or Automated Listing of Content
Modulo allows you to create content lists either by manually selecting items or by setting up automated filters. With manually curated lists, the editor can select which content to display based on title—ideal for hand-picked selections, featured materials, or themed content blocks.
Automated lists, on the other hand, work based on filter criteria such as content type (e.g. page, post, event) or category. These lists update dynamically to ensure the page always displays up-to-date content without requiring manual intervention.

Designing the Display
Layout and Style Options
Once a content list is created, the editor can define how the list items should appear. Modulo provides three main list view types: horizontal layout, card view, and tile view.
Lists can be displayed in 1 to 4 columns, and you can choose whether or not to display associated images. It’s also possible to create paginated list pages or use carousel-style displays for dynamic presentation.
Custom Lists
Tailored Featured Content Blocks
The system also supports the creation of custom blocks that function as standalone content listings—possibly linking to other content.
These can use image-based cards or icon-based cards, each with individually customizable visual styles. This functionality is especially useful for building thematic sections where the card elements’ content (title, text, image) isn’t pulled from linked content, or where no linking is required at all.
